Kings Park Guides launch Spring Programme of Themed Walks
Kings Park Guides are holding several themed walks in September, in addition to our usual free daily guided walks.
These walks celebrate Diverse Divas of the Sandplains, Awesome Orchids, Brilliant Banksias and Rich Bushland Resources.
- Diverse Divas of the Sandplains, 11 September: Be fascinated by the amazing flora of the sand plains, known as the Kwongan. Learn how these treasures survive in this unique part of WA. Book here
- Brilliant Banksias, 20 September: Banksias – a plant for all seasons. Be inspired by one of our iconic floral treasures. They flourish in Western Australia’s ancient soils & in Kings Park. Book here
- Awesome Orchids, 25 September: If you think orchids are just beautiful flowers, you are in for a big surprise! Come on a journey of discovery of these amazing plants. Book here
- Rich Bushland Resources, 26 September: It’s fascinating to find out that for Aboriginal people the local bush was like ‘one big supermarket’. Book here
