Be fascinated by the amazing flora of the sand plains, known as the Kwongan. Learn how these treasures survive in this unique part of WA.
In the sandplains there are cricket balls, toothbrushes, emu trees, smelly socks, alongside royalty, red combs and spider nets, each with their own stories. Don’t be fooled, these are all plants. Learn how the plants have adapted to survive and thrive in our parched and ancient soils.
