Walk Highlights
Wander through our Botanic Garden with one of our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Guides. Discover some of Western Australia’s unique and diverse native flora. Be amazed by its beauty and its ability to survive in our harsh environments. Individual Guides may include topics such as the importance of the area to the Whadjuk Noongar people, the history of WA, the park and the Botanic Garden or a visit to the WA State War Memorial and its surrounds.
Occasionally walks are cancelled due to extreme weather (Perth forecast temperatures 37oC or above) or fire risk. If you are concerned about this on the morning of your walk, check the Perth temperature on BOM or the Kings Park website for a cancellation notice. You can also phone the Visitor Information Centre (9480 3634) between 9.30 am and 4.00 pm WST. A ‘Walks Cancelled’ sign will be placed at the meeting point.
For a group of 10 or more please book one of our Walks By Request. We can tailor the walk to suit your needs.

You'll see something different as the seasons change - you might be lucky enough to see a variety of orchids: our state floral emblem, the red kangaroo paw, putting of a display in the bush or the grass trees are also showing their starlike, white flowers as a contrast. It promises to be a great experience.Water Views and Wilderness
