Be inspired by one of our bold and beautiful iconic floral treasures. They flourish in WA’s ancient soils and in Kings Park.
Join our Kings Park Volunteer Guides on a walk and be amazed by the diversity of Banksias growing in Kings Park. These members of the Proteaceae family range from ground covers to small shrubs to trees up to 25m tall, with flowers in a stunning range of colours, shapes and sizes. They are diverse, conspicuous, resilient and ingenious. Discover their significance to people and their importance in the natural environment. Artists, authors, birds, insects and the tiny possums all love them.
